FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used to protect electronic equipment from ultrashort pulses. The method for tracing round conductors includes tracing a central reference conductor in a circular dielectric layer, along the edges of which two other conductors are symmetrically located - active and passive, and the entire structure is placed in an outer dielectric layer. The length of the conductors is chosen so that its product by the modulus of the difference between the linear delays of the modes is not less than the sum of the durations of the front, flat top and decay of the pulse supplied between the active and reference conductors. In this case, the outer dielectric layer is made round, and the passive conductor is hollow.
EFFECT: technical result is a reduced mass of conductors while maintaining the decomposition of the interference pulse into a sequence of pulses of lower amplitude.
