SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio electronics and can be used to protect radio electronic equipment (REE) from ultrashort pulses (USP). The method for tracing conductors includes tracing conductors with a reference conductor in the form of a separate layer, so that the first and second conductors are laid parallel to each other, on one layer, and the second conductor is made angular in cross section. At the beginning and end of the second conductor, resistors with values equal to the geometric mean value of the wave resistances of even and odd modes are connected. The value of the modulus of the difference in linear mode delays multiplied by the length of the conductors is not less than the sum of the durations of the front, the flat top and the decay of the pulse fed between the first conductor and the reference plane.
EFFECT: reduced mass of the passive conductor and increased value of the difference in linear mode delays.
