FIELD: fuels.
SUBSTANCE: invention discloses a method of production of liquid fuel from landfill gas, wherein: (i) O2, steam and landfill gas containing 40 to 65% mol. of methane and 30 to 50% mol. of CO2 are supplied to the single triple reforming reactor containing a first catalyst; (ii) energy is supplied to said single triple reformer; (iii) triple reforming method is executed with said landfill gas, wherein said triple reforming method includes carbon dioxide reforming, steam reforming, water gas shift and methane oxidation, producing synthesis gas with a ratio of H2:CO of approximately 2:1; (iv) said synthesis gas is provided to a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor (FTS) containing a second catalyst; (v) the synthesis gas is converted to liquid fuel, fuel gas and steam in said Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reactor; (vi) said liquid fuel is separated from said fuel gas and said steam; and (vii) at least part of said fuel gas is combusted providing at least part of said energy for said triple reformer, whereby said method of production of liquid fuel is at least partially self-sufficient in terms of energy for said triple reforming method, wherein said first catalyst contains Ce(x)Zr(1-x)-yNizMg, y and z are integer numbers and x is less than one but greater than zero, wherein said second catalyst is a cobalt-silicon oxide catalyst. Also disclosed is a method of production of liquid fuel from solid municipal waste and a system for implementing said method of production of liquid fuel.
EFFECT: production of liquid fuel from landfill gas with a high cetane number, low aroma content and, therefore, low soot formation during combustion of liquid fuel in engines.
