SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for multiplatform synchronization and determining belonging of several devices to one user. The technical result described below is achieved by collecting information that characterizes unknown devices (hereinafter, device characteristics), and information that characterizes the environment of unknown devices (hereinafter, device environment characteristics); based on the collected characteristics for each of the unknown devices, at least one connection between the device and the device environment is detected; forming a communication profile for the detected communication based on the collected characteristics of the device and the environment, where the communication profile contains the characteristics of the connection and interaction between the selected device and other devices; selecting links for clustering and combining unknown devices into at least one cluster based on the similarity of the selected links, where the similarity of links is determined based on the similarity of the communication profile.

EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing reliability and ensuring long-term binding of devices, their correlation with the profile and rapid response to changes in the user profile.
