SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of computer technology for asynchronous selection of compatible products. The choice of a system recovery tool from the tool base is achieved through a method of selecting third-party system recovery tools in which: a) the system parameters describing the states and processes are obtained from the elements that implement the functionality of the system, while: the parameters describe at least two states or two processes of the system; the system elements are made in the form of software, or hardware, or software and hardware; b) the states and processes of the system are divided into anomalous and normal ones, by interrogating the model of the state of the system using the obtained parameters; c) at least one rule is formed for choosing a third-party tool to restore the system based on a comparison of the parameters of anomalous and normal states and processes of the system, with the result of the comparison containing the parameters of the system, the function of which is an abnormal state; d) a third-party system recovery tool is selected based on at least one generated rule by querying a third-party tool base, while the query contains parameters based on the results of the comparison from point c), set to the value corresponding to the normal state.
