SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of polymer materials and concerns molten shaped material with a high content of cellulose fibers. The product contains cellulose fibers, which are at least partially modified to contain dialcoholcellulose. The amount of modified cellulose fibers in the molten shaped product is more than 60 wt. %. The degree of conversion of at least partially modified cellulose into dialcoholcellulose based on the total amount of oxidized C₂-C₃ bonds in the cellulose material is at least 10% but less than 70%.

EFFECT: invention provides shaping of a melt material with high cellulose content by extrusion or casting under pressure and provides a product containing cellulose fibers, in which cellulose is at least partially modified into dialcoholcellulose.
