FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment; it can be used in systems of electrochemical protection of underground steel constructions from corrosion, in particular for measuring the polarization potential. The invention is a method for measuring the polarization potential, characterized by a cyclic repetition of the measurement cycle, consisting of the polarization phase, the delay phase and the measurement phase. During the polarization phase, the potential sensor is polarized; during the delay phase and the measurement phase, the possibility of such polarization is excluded. The protected construction itself is used as a potential sensor with a pulsed output signal of the cathode station. The polarization of the construction is carried out during the action of the output pulse of the cathode station. The measurement delay and the measurement of the potential polarization component are carried out during the pause between the pulses of the output signal of the cathode station.
EFFECT: increased reliability of the measurement result of the polarization potential.
