SUBSTANCE: method and a device for reducing the axial curvature of a brake disc caused by braking processes for a rail vehicle are proposed, in which, after ascertaining the deviation of the friction surface of the brake disc from the plane formed by the peripheral edge of the friction surface, a long-term reverse deformation of the friction surface of the brake disc is carried out into the plane formed by the peripheral edge of the friction surface.

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a method for reducing the axial curvature of a brake disc for a wheel of a rail rolling stock, with the help of which reusal of brake discs with large values ​​of axial curvature also becomes possible.
