SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring technology, and more specifically, to a MEMS-type vibration velocity sensor for monitoring the level of vibrations of an object in the region of infra-low and low frequencies and small amplitude values of vibrations in space along three axes of Cartesian coordinates. A MEMS-type vibration velocity sensor for monitoring the level of vibrations in the infra-low and low frequencies contains an explosion-proof housing, inside which a printed circuit board is installed, on which at least two microelectromechanical three-axis accelerometers are located, made with the possibility of cyclic measurement of the instantaneous value of acceleration along three mutually orthogonal axes, a microcontroller containing at least two integrators configured to form at least two sets of arrays of instantaneous vibration velocity values, at least two spectral analysis modules configured to generate at least two sets of vibration velocity spectral distribution arrays, a spectrum cross-correlation module , configured to form the resulting set of vibration velocity spectra, a module for calculating the resulting vibration velocity values, configured to calculate the resulting vibration velocity vector and a set of values vibration velocity. Also claimed is a method for measuring vibration velocity using a vibration velocity measurement sensor.
