FIELD: wireless technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, performed on a wireless device, for transmitting uplink control information (UCI) on grantless resources. Grantless resources refer to Type 1 and Type 2 uplink (UL) transmission without grant in new radio (NR). A subset of the time-frequency resources of the grantless uplink channel is reserved for UCI transmission. After determining that the wireless device has a UCI to transmit on a grant-free uplink channel, the UCI is transmitted to a network node on a reserved subset of time-frequency resources.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at facilitating the transmission of UCI over PUSCH when a grantless PUSCH is available.
