FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to the field of internal diseases, and can be used for the diagnostics of metabolic disorders. The level of leptin in the patient blood is determined, then, a ROC analysis of the dependence of the metabolic syndrome and the level of leptin is performed. If the leptin level is less than 3.5 ng/ml, a neutral metabolic status is diagnosed. At a value of more than 3.5 ng/ml, a metabolic syndrome is predicted with a high degree of probability.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to diagnose metabolic disorders in patients by using the value of the leptin level in the blood as a criterion for a more accurate assessment of the metabolic status in obesity.
