FIELD: metal pressure treatment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal pressure treatment. The method for predicting the destruction of workpieces in metal pressure treatment processes is based on the use of computer modeling in the computing environment of finite element analysis and experimental evaluation. Computer modeling of the investigated process of metal pressure treatment is carried out. A trajectory is constructed for the investigated point of the workpiece according to the results. The trajectory is constructed based on the coordinates "accumulated deformation - coefficient of stiffness of the stress state". Standard tests of specimens from the material of a deformable workpiece are carried out in the process under study, at the end of which the values of accumulated deformation at the moment of destruction are determined. Two or three points corresponding to the results of standard tests are plotted in the same coordinates on the basis of which the trajectory was built. They are plotted along the abscissa 1 for tension, 0 for torsion, -1 for compression. The ordinate represents the accumulated strain values determined from the results of the corresponding standard tests. A line is drawn through the found points. A line of ultimate plasticity is obtained.
EFFECT: as a result, it is possible to determine the areas in the volume of the deformed workpiece, which are either most prone to destruction, or in which destruction will occur.
