FIELD: performing operations.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of determining roll profile of two-roll strip rolling mill. Strip is rolled according to preset mode. During rolling, rolling force is determined. Computer simulation of test rolling is carried out. Dimensions of contact area of strip and roll are determined by results of computer simulation of test rolling. Then, in the environment of computer-aided design, the elastic deformation of the roll is calculated taking into account the data on the rolling force and the area of contact of the roll with the strip. As a result of calculation, data on elastic deformation of the roll along the length of the barrel are obtained. Proceeding from data on roll deflection due to elastic deformation, roll shape is made convex along barrel length. Wherein roll radius at every point of roll generatrix increases by roll deflection due to elastic deformation at the same point.

EFFECT: elastic roll deflection is compensated for in order to ensure minimization of thickness variation along the strip width.
