FIELD: medicine; orthopedic dentistry.
SUBSTANCE: three-dimensional models of the patient's jaws, head, and face are obtained using optical scanners. A cone-beam computed tomography of the head is performed. The obtained digital data is compared in the program for modeling dentures. Based on the obtained anthropometric indicators of computed tomography and the position of the head of the lower jaw, the inter-alveolar height and the position of the lower jaw in relation to the upper jaw are determined. Based on the obtained data, a collapsible removable denture is modeled on the upper jaw, consisting of a base with fasteners for installation on the teeth and an artificial gum with artificial teeth. The base of the denture is formed in the form of a perforated plate, with one part of the plate made in the form of a palatal arch and the other part of the plate made in the form of a vestibular arch connected to fasteners in the form of clasps. The base is equipped with dumbbell-shaped retention elements placed at a distance of 4 mm from each other and oriented perpendicular to the plane of the base for connection with dumbbell-shaped response grooves made in the artificial gum. Then the digital model of the denture is transferred into a physical one. The base of the denture is made of a metal alloy by computer milling, and the part of the denture with artificial teeth is made of polymethylmethacrylate by volumetric printing. After grinding and polishing, the denture is aligned in the oral cavity. At the same time, a metal base is initially introduced, which is fixed with clasps on the remaining teeth, followed by fixation of an artificial gum with artificial teeth on it by means of dumbbell-like retention elements.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to perform prosthetics among patients with hypostomia with partial absence of teeth in the upper jaw, to fix securely the denture in the oral cavity, to prevent its loss and folding with high chewing efficiency.
