INHALER Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61M15/00

Abstract RU 2748203 C1

FIELD: medical equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology, namely to an inhaler. The inhaler has a body with openings for an air inlet. The inhaler consists of a compartment for perforating a capsule with powder for inhalation connected to a vortex chamber in which, during inhalation, the perforated capsule rotates perpendicular to the body axis under the action of an air flow. The inhaler has a mouthpiece communicating with the body through a lattice installed in the body in front of the mouthpiece entrance, and two perforating elements located opposite each other. The body has a cylindrical shape with a thickening inside in two opposite sections, in which two pairs of grooves are made opposite to each other. The perforating elements are made in the form of beveled knives and are located in the transition channel, which has the shape of the capsule section and is a compartment for the capsule perforation. The capsule with powder for inhalation is located in the inhaler body and packed in a blister. The inhaler additionally has a guide frame for the capsule and a pusher pushing the capsule into the vortex chamber through the perforation compartment at the end of which a cut is made for the knives. In the cutouts of the central thickened part of the pusher, there are two elastic fixing plates having protrusions at the ends that are locked in the corresponding grooves of the body. The fixing plates are integrally connected to the upper part of the pusher, which protrudes from the body, serves to actuate the inhaler and has an external thread, onto which the cap is screwed to prevent its unintended operation.

EFFECT: technical result is the creation of a portable single-use inhaler, previously (previously) prepared and ready at any time for use, ensuring the hermetic safety of the drug in the capsule in the form of a dry powder for inhalation, structurally not complicated and having reliable protection against unintentional actuation, simple and reliable in carrying out inhalation when used independently by persons without special training, characterized by an average breathing resistance, which allows to ensure sufficient drug release rates when used by both relatively healthy individuals and victims with various respiratory disorders.
