METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE INTENSITY OF INTRAOPERATIVE BLEEDING IN ENDOSCOPIC ENDONASAL RHINOSURGICAL INTERVENTIONS UNDER GENERAL ANESTHESIA Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B17/24

Abstract RU 2748387 C1

FIELD: medicine; rhinosurgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to rhinosurgery, it can be used to assess the intensity of intraoperative bleeding in endoscopic endonasal rhinosurgical interventions under general anesthesia. For this purpose, when using a laryngeal mask or intubation of the trachea and oropharyngeal tamponade, a qualitative visual endoscopic assessment of the filling of the oropharynx with blood and its flow down the posterior wall of the oropharynx is performed using a bleeding scale in accordance with table 3 of the description. The degree of bleeding is determined, depending on its characteristics. In addition, intraoperative bleeding is quantified by aspiration of the contents of the oropharynx and nasopharynx at a given time interval.

EFFECT: method allows standardizing the degree of bleeding in rhinosurgery, provides a qualitative and quantitative assessment of intraoperative bleeding, makes it possible to accurately measure the volume of intraoperative bleeding in a given time interval.
