METHOD FOR EVALUATING THE EFFICIENCY OF REDUCING PROSPECTED INTRAOPERATIVE BLEEDING IN ENDOSCOPIC ENDONASAL RHINOSURGERY Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B17/24

Abstract RU 2766738 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to endoscopic rhinosurgery. Capillary blood flow of the sublingual area is visualized by installing a contact rigid endoscope on its mucous membrane. In this case, a field with a large vessel serving as a reference point is visualized. The number of visible vessels is determined. Measures are taken to reduce the intensity of capillary blood flow, namely, to decrease mean arterial pressure by intravenous administration of metoprolol once or by bolus administration of lidocaine, followed by constant microjet administration of lidocaine. With a decrease in the number of visible vessels by 30-50%, a decrease in the estimated intraoperative bleeding in the area of surgery is considered effective.

EFFECT: method allows intraoperatively minimally invasive visualization of the vascular structure of the mucous membrane of the sublingual area and objectively quantitatively assess the effectiveness of reducing capillary blood flow in the area of surgery.
