SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry and relates to a composition with anti-inflammatory activity. A composition having anti-inflammatory activity comprising lycopene, one or both of phytoene and phytofluene and tomato phytosterols, the concentration of lycopene being in the range of 0.3% to 2% by weight, and the weight ratio of lycopene to one or both of the phytoene and phytofluene is in the range from 1: 1 to 1: 2.5, with the specified composition being obtained from tomatoes, and with the concentration of phytosterols being at least 2% by weight. A method of obtaining a composition containing lycopene, one or both of phytoene and phytofluene and phytosterols. The said composition having anti-inflammatory activity is used to obtain a drug. The said composition having anti-inflammatory activity is also used to obtain a cosmetic or cosmeceutical agent.
EFFECT: above composition, with reduced lycopene content, has a pronounced anti-inflammatory activity.
