SUBSTANCE: unit for mixing solid components comprised of a mixing apparatus, a first dosing apparatus (1) for supplying sand and a second dosing apparatus (2) for supplying a solid additive, wherein the two apparatuses are in communication with the mixing apparatus. The mixing apparatus comprises a vertical mixing chamber (3) with a rectangular cross-section, the contour of the chamber (3) is formed by four lateral walls so that the opposing lateral walls are wider than the other two walls. The chamber (3) comprises a first inlet hole (3.1) in communication with the first dosing apparatus (1) and a second inlet hole (3.2) in communication with the second dosing apparatus (2), wherein the second inlet hole (3.2) is lower than the first inlet hole (3.1), wherein said second inlet hole (3.2) is located on one of the wider lateral chamber walls (3).
