SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of metallurgy. Mold sand cooler contains a sand chamber that has air inlet to supply air to sand chamber and air outlet to suck air from sand chamber. Dynamic air separator, made with the possibility of rotation around the axis, is located inside the molding sand cooler. Separator is designed in such a way that essentially all the air leaving the sand chamber through the air outlet is directed through a dynamic air separator, and particles of solids are removed from the exhaust air stream and remain in or return to the sand chamber.
EFFECT: reduced sand removal through the air release during the cooling process.
