FIELD: hydraulic shot blasting processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of hydraulic shot blasting hardening of parts. The balls made of hardened chromium-carbon steel are ejected onto the processed surface using a working fluid. Hardening is performed on two installations for hydraulic shot blasting hardening in two technological transitions using balls of different diameters. The first transition is carried out on the first installation with balls with diameters D equal to 2-3 mm, which are ejected under a working fluid pressure of 0.4 MPa and at a speed of 6 m/s for 3 minutes. The second transition is carried out on the second installation with balls with diameters d less than 2 mm, ejected at a pressure of 0.45 MPa and at a speed of 10 m/s for 2 minutes.
EFFECT: hardened surface with increased fatigue strength is obtained.
