FIELD: aircraft construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technologies for hardening aircraft engine parts using shot blasting of parts. A method for determining the plastic properties of a material during shot blasting of parts includes shot blasting of a control plate made from the material of the workpiece, measuring residual stresses in the control plate and determining the thickness of the nanostructured layer. The yield point of the processed material, which characterizes the plastic properties, is determined by the formula
where σY is the yield point of the processed material of the part, MPa;
R is the radius of the balls during shot blasting, m;
ρ0 - normal component to the treated surface of pressure in the shot jet, MPa;
α is the angle of inclination of the shot jet to the treated surface, deg;
δ is the thickness of the nanostructured layer on the surface of the part, m.
EFFECT: technical result is the determination of the yield point of materials during shot blasting, which characterizes the plastic properties.
