where σT – yield point of treated part material, MPa, μ is the Poisson ratio of the processed material, E is the modulus of elasticity of the treated material, MPa, α is an angle of inclination of jet of shot to processed surface, deg.

EFFECT: as a result, formation of compressive residual stresses in part surface layer is provided.
