FIELD: mechatronics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechatronics and concerns methods for protecting the surfaces of structures from sedimentary layers and can be used for indicating, locating and removing attached particles and sedimentary layers in the transport and oil and gas industry, in aerospace engineering to protect against icing of surfaces. The vibration amplitude of the coating is adjusted by setting values for the frequency and amplitude of the harmonic component of the control electrical voltage of an external power source at the input of a two-wire line. An indication and location of areas of occurrence of icing and diagnosis of inhomogeneity of the distribution of the thickness of the icing are performed, as well as quality control of de-icing on an extended surface by registering the amplitude-frequency spectrum of the integral light signal at the output of the optical fiber at different frequency values of the harmonic component of the specified control electrical voltage at the input of the two-wire line, taking into account the known dependence of the resonant frequency of the coating on the thickness of the layer of ice attached to the outer surface of the coating.
EFFECT: efficiency of de-icing on aerodynamic surfaces is increased.
