A pedestrian user equipment (UE) that performs forward link communications associated with V2X communications comprises: a receiving circuit designed to receive system information containing a set of parameters for pedestrian V2X communications; and a control circuit designed to determine, based on the set of parameters, whether the pedestrian V2X UE performs random selection or the pedestrian V2X UE performs identification.

EFFECT: improved energy-efficient selection and use of radio resources in vehicle-to-other object communication (V2X).
