FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, namely, to ship propulsors in the form of propeller-steering column. Vessel steering column comprises nacelle with motor with propeller shaft, at end of which propeller screwed outside propeller is installed, and post connected to nacelle, arranged with its upper part inside ship hull, and with lower part submerged into water, and equipped with a cooling system of an electric motor consisting of a closed air cooling circuit, which includes a gas circulation means, and from a heat exchanger with a liquid cooling circuit with a liquid circulation means. Fluid circuit of heat exchanger cooling is open and communicated with seawater by pipelines connected to water intakes installed in submerged into water bottom part of rack body. Gas circulation means and the heat exchanger are arranged in the upper part of the rack located inside the ship hull.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of screw propeller electric drive cooling and maintenance of propeller-steering column systems.
