FIELD: biotechnology; food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology and the food industry. Biomass is pretreated. The hydrolysis of the biomass containing xylan and cellulose is carried out at a pH of 4.5 to 8.0 and a temperature of 35 to 45°С using a cellulase composition. The cellulase composition has at least the activities of xylanase, cellobiohydrolase and β-glucosidase, and substantially no β-xylosidase activity directed to said biomass during hydrolysis. The composition contains active enzymatic components obtained by substantially inactivating the α-glucosidase and β-xylosidase activities directed to the indicated biomass by incubating a mixture originating from a fungus belonging to the genus Trichoderma having at least the activities of xylanase, cellobiohydrolase, β-glucosidase and aimed at the specified biomass. The xylanase and cellobiohydrolase activities in the composition comprise the specified xylanase and cellobiohydrolase activities remaining after the incubation of the cellulase mixture. The cellulase blend comes from Trichoderma reesei. The activity of xylanase is at least 14,000 Units per gram of protein, that of cellobiohydrolase is at least 50 Units per gram of protein and that of β-glucosidase is at least 1,000 Units per gram of protein.
EFFECT: invention provides a convenient and effective method for producing xylo oligosaccharides.
