SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a system and method related to control of an animated head of a character. The system is comprised of an animated head 10 of a character comprising a sensor 50 including a motion tracking sensor 54 configured to control the facial gestures of the performer and to generate input data based on the facial gestures, one or more processors configured to receive the input data from the sensor 50, to select an animation from multiple options displayed on the screen 14 based on the input data and to provide a first control signal based on the animation selection. The screen 14 is located inside the head 10. The screen 14 is configured to display an indication of the animation selection for visualisation by the performer wearing the head 10.
EFFECT: group of inventions is intended to simplify control of an animated head.
