FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used to increase the bearing capacity and performance of springs of a conical shape or the shape of a paraboloid of revolution by methods of plastic processing of metal. The device contains the upper and lower inserts, a glass attached to the lower plate for installing the inserts in it and between them springs, a punch attached to the upper plate by a punch holder, upper and lower inserts, step screws. The surface of the glass has a surface that encloses the outer surface of the compressed spring. The upper insert is made according to the shape of the inner surface of the compressed spring. The punch is connected to the upper plate of the device by means of a punch holder, to which a spring-loaded plate, movable relative to the punch, is attached with stepped screws, in which a pressure sleeve is pressed in, providing preliminary compression of the spring. Spring parts are located between the punch holder and the movable plate.
EFFECT: invention provides hardening of the inner surface of the conical and parabolic springs.
