FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of springs of conical shaped or the shape of a paraboloid of rotation. Device for wrenching of springs comprises upper and lower inserts, barrel for inserts installation in it and between them tested spring and puncheon with ball surface contacting ball surface of upper insert, wherein lower insert is installed with possibility of rotation relative to axis of barrel, and upper – with possibility of rotation and movement along axis of barrel and deviation of axis from axis of puncheon. Cylindrical surface of lower insert is made with annular groove on end face of diameter corresponding to smaller inner diameter from narrower side of spring and depth of not less than height of spring coil, cylindrical surface of upper insert on end has annular groove corresponding to maximum inner diameter from wider side of spring and depth of not less than height of spring turn. Inner working surface of barrel is made with diameter up to diameter of compressed spring and has shape enveloping external surface of compressed spring.

EFFECT: enabling hardening of geometrically shaped springs.
