FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pre-impregnated composite materials (prepreg) used in production of composite parts with high operating characteristics and to composite for structural applications. It comprises epoxy resin reinforced and hardened by thermosetting materials and particles insoluble in this mix. Matrices of uncured resin comprises the epoxy resin component, insoluble component of thermoplastic, hardening agent and insoluble particles component consisting of resilient particles and stiff particles. Uncured resin matrix is combined with fibrous reinforcement and formed with hardening to get composites for structural applications, such as primary structures in airborne vehicle.
EFFECT: high compression strength, high durability (CAI) and high interlayer fracture toughness (G1c and G2c).
