FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: drainage apparatus for extracting aqueous humour from the anterior chamber of the eyeball is comprised of: a drainage tube extending axially along the X axis between the distal and proximal ends at least partially open and slanted in the same direction; a support flange extending from the proximal end of the drainage tube and comprising a plate piece with an top surface and a bottom surface, the proximal end of the drainage tube is slanted so that the open end is directed toward the top surface of the plate piece. The support flange therein comprises a tubular part connected to the drainage tube, the proximal part of the drainage tube is inserted using a profiled insert into said tubular part, wherein the tubular part has a proximal hole at least partially open in the direction of the top surface of the plate part. The plate part of the drainage apparatus therein partially overlaps both the open proximal hole of the drainage tube and the proximal hole of the tubular part. The method consists in placing a drainage apparatus with a distal end within the anterior chamber facing the cornea and with a support flange inside the sclera, not coming into contact with the capsule and the conjunctiva.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions allows to improve the outflow of aqueous humour.
