FIELD: chemical and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of equipment for the chemical and gas industry, as well as to life support systems for people in confined spaces, isolated objects, bunkers, pressure chambers, in space and underwater vehicles. The invention concerns a device for extracting oxygen gas from a mixture of carbon dioxide and oxygen, which contains a case made of a non-magnetic material, equipped with inlet and outlet gas pipes, while a gas-permeable porous partition is installed in the inner cavity of the case. The gas-permeable porous partition is made of a magnetic material and is located horizontally in the inner cavity of the case. A solenoid connected to a direct electric current source is installed on the outer surface of the case, under the action of which a magnetic field is created in the pores of the partition, directed vertically along the axis of the inner cavity. The gas inlet pipe for the mixture of oxygen and carbon dioxide and the gas outlet pipe for the removal of carbon dioxide are located below the partition, and the gas outlet pipe for the removal of oxygen is located above the partition.
EFFECT: creation of a silent small-sized device that allows for the effective separation of a mixture of oxygen and carbon dioxide by using the property of oxygen (paramagnetic) to be drawn into the area of a strong magnetic field and the property of carbon dioxide (diamagnetic) to be pushed out of the area of a strong magnetic field.
