FIELD: magnets.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to a magnetic matrix for a magnetic separator with high magnetic field intensity (WHIMS) used to recover extra-fine ore particles significantly reducing the volume of tailings appearing during mining allowing to reduce the environmental impact associated with storage thereof on dump sites and to use natural resources more fully. A magnetic matrix for a magnetic separator with high magnetic field intensity whereto a pulp containing magnetic and non-magnetic particles is supplied, wherein the magnetic matrix is comprised of multiple metal plates with grooves on both surfaces and the grooved plates are arranged in the body in a row, parallel to each other and distanced from each other by the same interval. The surface of each metal plate with grooves has protrusions aligned with the grooves on the facing surface of the adjacent metal plate with grooves. The matrix additionally comprises corrugated expanded metal sheet in each of the intervals between adjacent plates with grooves. Corrugation of the corrugated expanded metal sheets corresponds with the alignment of the protrusions and recesses of the adjacent plates with grooves.
EFFECT: technical result is increased productivity of the magnetic matrix and efficiency of magnetic separation process.
