FIELD: sterilization equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a sterilization device, in particular, for sterilization of used absorbent sanitary and hygienic products. A sterilization device for sterilizing used absorbent sanitary and hygienic products comprises a container (12) rotatable about a longitudinal axis A and having a closed first end (16) and a second end (18) equipped with a loading / unloading opening (22), closed by means of a removable door (24). The container (12) has a hollow wall (26) including an inner wall (28), an outer wall (30) and a hollow space (32) that extends from the said first end (16) to the said second end (18). The sterilization device also comprises: a rotating joint (34) located at the first end (16) of the container (12) and having a steam inlet chamber (48) and a condensate drainage chamber (50); and at least one hollow spiral blade (70) that extends between the first (16) and second (18) ends of the container (12) and projects inwardly from the inner wall (28) of the container (12). The hollow spiral blade (70) has a spiral cavity (72) having an inlet (78) in fluid communication with the steam inlet chamber (48) at the first end of the container (16), and an outlet (80) in communication with the possibility of transmission fluid with a hollow space (32) at the second end (18) of the container (12), and is enclosed between the specified inlet (78) and the specified outlet (80). The condensate drainage chamber (50) communicates with the possibility of fluid transmission with the hollow space (32) at the first end (16) of the container (12). In this case, the steam coming from the chamber (48) of the steam inlet flows into the spiral cavity (72) from the first end (16) to the second end (18), and then flows into the hollow space (32) from the second end (18) to first end (16).

EFFECT: invention allows to optimize the transfer of thermal energy from the walls of the device to the products and to increase the efficiency of sterilization.
