FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of railway transport, it is designed to control the change in the pressure of compressed air in the brake cylinders of freight rolling stock cars. The braking equipment of a railway vehicle contains a pneumatic air distributor connected to the brake line and a spare tank; an electric-pneumatic part, including electromagnetic braking and release valves, and a pressure regulator. The pneumatic air distributor and the electric-pneumatic part are connected via a switch valve to at least one brake cylinder. The brake equipment contains a pneumatic line connecting the pneumatic air distributor with the brake cylinder, on which a limiting device is installed, which, when the pneumatic air distributor is operating, restricts the flow of excess pressure of compressed air to the brake cylinder and does not prevent the return passage of compressed air from the brake cylinder to the pneumatic air distributor in the release mode.
EFFECT: expansion of the functional capabilities of the brake equipment of a railway vehicle, which implements an accelerated rate of filling the brake cylinders with compressed air with a cargo pneumatic air distributor while maintaining the normal mode of its operation.
