FIELD: railway vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway vehicles and concerns freight cars, platforms, including long-wheelbase and special rolling stock, equipped with electro-pneumatic brakes. The brake system of a railway vehicle is made in the form of a removable module attached to the frame of a railway vehicle, including a cargo-type air distributor with a reserve tank, a pressure switch, an electric air distributor connected to a working electrical wire connected to a control electrical wire by means of a connecting sleeve with an electrical contact in its disconnected state, providing inter-car connection of electric wires of the same name in its coupled state with another connecting sleeve with an electrical contact of another railway vehicle, while electric wires of the same name are additionally connected in the inter-car space by means of plug connectors.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency and reliability of the braking system of a railway vehicle by increasing the level of trouble-free operation of the electro-pneumatic brake with additional inter-car connections of the working and control electric wires and the use of a modular layout of the braking equipment, which allows it being compactly placed in a limited space under the body of a railway vehicle and reduce the loss of time for maintenance and repair.
