SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for producing packaging and shipping containers containing thermal insulation to maintain the desired temperature in them. A method for manufacturing a thermal container includes forming a body by forming an inner box-shaped assembly with a bottom and side walls, installing it upside down on a press mold, followed by placing the outer box around the inner box-shaped assembly with the formation of a gap between them, filling the gap with a liquid polymer composition, foaming and curing it. According to the invention, to form the body around the box-shaped assembly, the side walls of the outer box with an open top and bottom are installed with the formation of a gap and fixed on the press frame. The scoring line of the outer box should be located below the press plate to the height of the thermal container lid. The gap between the box-shaped assembly and the side walls of the outer box is filled with a liquid composition obtained by mixing two components under a pressure of at least 6 MPa, in a ratio of 100: 135-140 mass parts, the first of which is a polyol, and the second is a polymer diphenylmethane diisocyanate. The top valves of the outer box are closed from above along the scoring lines to form the bottom of the future thermal container. The press plate is installed and held until the end of the foaming of the polyurethane foam and its hardening.
EFFECT: invention improves the performance of the thermal container.
