FIELD: fire-fighting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire-fighting equipment and can be used in assessment of fire extinguishing ability of powder compositions used in fire extinguishers. The experimental fire point system is intended to determine the fire extinguishing effect of the powder in the cross section of an unsteady gas flow. The system consists of several frame rods whereon experimental fire points constituting metal containers fixed to the frame with clamps are located radially. The rods are marked for the convenience of maintaining an equal distance from the fire points to the center of the system. The experimental fire points therein are located at the control points of the cross-sectional plane of the fire extinguishing gas powder flow supplied from the fire extinguisher.

EFFECT: invention allows to evaluate the actual fire extinguishing effect of regulating the mass distribution of the fire extinguishing powder in the cross section of an unsteady gas flow while supplying powders of a known disperse composition and while using nozzles of various designs.
