FIELD: discrete computing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of discrete computing, namely, to the multiplication of integers, mainly numbers in the positional representation. The method for multiplying numbers in the positional code consists of the positional representation of the discrete values of the multiplicand and the multiplier, performing logical operations for the signal components and then sorting the results obtained. The logical operation AND is performed for each of the possible combinations of pairs of values of quantization levels of the discretized quantized signals of the multiplicand and the multiplier. Then, the results of these logical operations are sorted and the desired product is determined as the total number of unit values, obtained in the result of all logical operations.
EFFECT: ensuring the operation in the streaming mode with continuous changes in the input data.
