FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for operating user equipment (UE) to provide service disruption control in a wireless communication system. To realize the technical result, the subscription data containing the service disruption parameter are received by the UE from a network object in an attachment acceptance message during the initial connection procedure, wherein the service disruption parameter indicates a value for the service disruption timer for the UE; and compliance with the received service disruption parameter by the UE is provided at the UE layer in the non-access layer by means of activating the service disruption timer when the UE transitions from the connected mode to the idle mode.

EFFECT: eliminated need for use of additional signaling.
