FIELD: corrosion protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a system for monitoring corrosion processes on steel underwater structures with galvanic protection to determine the corrosion hazard and the effectiveness of electrochemical protection. The current meter consists of a dielectric waterproof housing with a conical plastic end, on which a steel contact made of metal that is not subject to marine corrosion is installed, while the contact inside the dielectric waterproof housing is connected to a switch that is connected to a digital ammeter with a display, the ammeter is connected to a power supply, and the power supply to a measuring electrode made of alloy not subject to corrosion.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to determine the degree of wear of the protective alloy in the galvanic protection system by obtaining data on the protection current densities.
