FIELD: otorhinolaryngology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used in the treatment of patients after surgical treatment in the nasal cavity or with mild nosebleeds. In the course of the method, an intranasal tampon is used, which consists of glove rubber on the outside and foam rubber with a density of 28-40 kg/m3 inside. The dimensions of the foam rubber are 10 mm in thickness, 70-100 mm in length and 20-30 mm in width. In the glove rubber of the tampon, three holes are made on the sides and one in the region of the front end of the tampon. Before installing the tampon in the nasal cavity, the foam rubber is impregnated with a 1% aqueous solution of an incomplete silver salt of polyacrylic acid containing silver nanoparticles, which is released directly into the nasal cavity when the tampon is squeezed during insertion into the common nasal passage.
EFFECT: invention provides simplicity, low trauma, the effectiveness of stopping bleeding, as well as the prevention of nosebleeds and rapid hemostasis through the use of the developed modified intranasal tampon.
