FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to a combined intranasal tampon. Combined intranasal tampon for nasal bleeding consists of elastic case and porous insert. Tampon is made in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped with rounded corners. Elastic tampon case has at least two holes on the side surface to allow liquid to reach the insert, and the insert is made of a compressed porous biocompatible material with the possibility of increasing in volume under the influence of liquid and providing an increase in the tampon for stopping the bleeding. Back part of the tampon is configured to be fixed to the wing of the nose or the cheek of the patient.
EFFECT: use of the invention provides higher effectiveness and safety of stopping nasal bleeding, which reduces the risk of anaemia and prevents the need for repeated nasal tamponade.
