FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the treatment of patients after surgical treatment for the purpose of hemostasis, patients with spontaneous nosebleeds in a hospital setting, as well as in the provision of medical care in emergency conditions. A single-chamber intranasal tampon for stopping nosebleeds is made of elastic material in the shape of a polygon with rounded edges in accordance with the anatomy of the nasal cavity, with the ability to be filled with liquid or gas using a filler supply tube. The tampon chamber inside has at least three point gluing rounds between the two halves of the chamber, connecting the two halves of the chamber at the gluing points, forming bridges between the halves of the chamber, and designed for uniform distribution of either liquid or gas.
EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to increase the efficiency and safety of stopping nosebleeds using the nasal cavity tamponade method due to the development of an intranasal tampon with a chamber designed to be filled with either liquid or gas, which ensures uniform pressure of the tampon on surrounding tissues.
