SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for making a billet from a ceramic material, in which the first ceramic material and then the second ceramic material of various compositions are loaded into a mold and the specified materials are pressed and after pressing are fired. Thus, a layer of the first ceramic material is loaded into the mold, the first open cavity is formed in the specified layer, the second ceramic material is loaded into the first open cavity and the specified materials are pressed together and then subjected to temperature treatment. Both the first ceramic material and the second ceramic material contain or consist of lithium-silicate glass ceramics.

EFFECT: method provides for production of ceramic products with high physical and mechanical properties.
