SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of cutting heated round blanks from low-alloy steels with a circular saw and can be used, for example, in pipe rolling production when cutting both cast and hot-rolled round blanks. The method involves the separation of a steel billet with a low-alloy steel circular saw containing an all-metal body with wedge-shaped cutting teeth located along the contour, each of which contains a front angle of the cutting edge equal to (-8°) - (-10°), the back angle, equal to 15°, and the side angle of the saw teeth bevel, determined by the dependence where ϕ is the side angle of the saw teeth bevel in degrees, ΔD is the increase in the diameter D of the cut workpiece compared to the diameter Do=200 mm. At the same time, feeding of the saw is provided, equal to 3.2-3.6 mm/tooth, and the cutting speed is within 70-105 m/s.
EFFECT: high quality of the surface of the ends of the workpieces after cutting is achieved due to the absence of defects in the form of burrs on them, and the durability of circular saws during the transition from one diameter of the cut workpiece to another due to the use of saws with optimal sharpening angles in combination with the technological modes of the saw feed and cutting speed is increased.
