FIELD: rolled products.

SUBSTANCE: method for thermofrictional cutting of rolled pipes from low-alloy steels used in pipe rolling production. The method for thermofrictional cutting of heated pipes made of low-alloy steel with a diameter of 120-140 mm with a circular saw involves dividing a heated steel pipe with a circular saw for thermofrictional cutting of low-alloy steel containing an all-metal body with wedge-shaped cutting teeth located along the contour. The teeth contain a backward hook angle of -20°, as well as the angle between the lateral surfaces of the tooth, equal to 40°. The cutting process to a cutting depth of 80% of the outer diameter of the pipe is carried out with a saw feed equal to 7-15 μm/tooth and its feed speed in the range of 0.06-0.09 m/s. After that, the clamping device is picked up and cutting is carried out, ensuring a saw feed equal to 4-7 µm/tooth, its feed speed in the range of 0.03-0.05 m/s.

EFFECT: high quality of the surface of the ends is ensured.
