FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technique for controlling the movement of vehicles. It concerns a WIM sensor for determining the loads of vehicles on a section of the roadway when a vehicle wheel passes through a WIM sensor. The WIM sensor is located on a section of the roadway in the surface of the roadway and forms a plane with the surface of the roadway. The WIM sensor is made as a profile formed along the longitudinal axis, at least with a volume in which at least the force sensor is located. The force sensor generates the signal of the force sensor, the signal of the force sensor corresponds to the dynamic force of the reaction of the soil when the wheel passes, the wheel acts with force on the section of the roadway. In this case, at least an electro-acoustic transducer is located in the volume, and the electro-acoustic transducer measures sound waves and provides them as a signal from the transducer.
EFFECT: simplifying the design and installation of the device in the roadway by eliminating external sensors and increasing the measurement accuracy.
