SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry, it can be used on pipelines as a centralized system of automatic protection against excess pressure, ensuring failsafe technological process of transportation of oil or petroleum products. The system includes an automatic control server of the main pipeline connected via a unified network to the server of the dispatching control and management system. The automatic control server of the main pipeline includes a storage module for a set of pre-selected pipeline operating modes, a storage module for a set of pre-calculated transitions between pipeline operating modes, a module for monitoring the technological process of oil pumping, a module for automatically determining the readiness of technological equipment for switching between modes, module for automatic generation of switching commands between modes from the storage module for a set of pre-selected pipeline operating modes or from the storage module for a set of pre-calculated transitions between pipeline operating modes, module for automatic generation of emergency stop commands for oil pumping stations.

EFFECT: provided is the ability to set up automatic, that is, without the participation of operational personnel, transfer of the process from emergency and/or pre-emergency mode to a safe mode with reduced oil pumping performance, as well as automated, that is, at the touch of a button, transfer of the process between modes, which reduces the influence of the human factor on the processes of dispatching management and control of the transportation of oil or petroleum products through pipelines.
